Lawrence Kaagan
Larry Kaagan is president of Kaagan Research Associates.
From 1978 to 1989, he was with the Yankelovich research group, where, as Senior Vice President, he directed the firm’s work in environmental scanning, policy analysis and opinion research on political, social and corporate issues. He collaborated with Daniel Yankelovich on the 1981 book, NEW RULES.
A graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, Mr. Kaagan was a post-graduate research director at Northwestern’s Center for Urban Affairs. He has been a visiting professor in the Honors Program at Villanova University, and a planning consultant to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He has been a research consultant on numerous projects evaluating consumer trends, marketing strategies and communications planning for such widely diverse clients as the California Department of Food & Agriculture, Cisco Systems, BMW, and Grupo Leon Jimenes (Dominican Republic).
In addition to his consultancies in consumer research, marketing strategy and corporate communications, he has, since 1983, been the director of political polling for the daily El Nuevo Dia, the largest-circulation newspaper in Puerto Rico.
